Botox & Dermal Filler
Level I Training

The Level I course explores Botox & Dermal Filler starting from the basics of anatomy and physiology of the face, reviewing vasculature and muscles. A fundamental understanding of anatomy is essential to being a great injector. We will review the following:

  • Patient assessment and consultation for botulinum toxin and dermal fillers

  • Indications and contraindications for botulinum toxin and dermal fillers

  • Comprehensive review of relevant anatomy, neurophysiology, musculature and the vasculature of the face 

  • Patient evaluation for the best facial esthetic results

  • Learn sterile technique for the use of injectables

  • Learn reconstitution of injectables

  • Review safety and risks for botulinum toxin injectables and dermal fillers

  • Learn how to integrate botulinum neurotoxin into therapeutic and treatment plans

  • Learn the latest treatment techniques including anatomical muscle sites, muscle depths, proper preparation, and dilution for the best facial therapeutic and esthetic outcomes

  • Learn best practices to avoid, manage, and treat possible adverse reactions and complications 

  • Review consent forms, suppliers, legal implications/malpractice insurance

  • Review medical director information

Learning Objectives

After completing this course, the participant will be able to:

  1. Evaluate how to diagnose, and recommend the appropriate treatment plan for patients to achieve the best esthetic and outcomes with injectable therapy

  2. Demonstrate clinical proficiency through practice on live patients with the proper materials, techniques, and instrumentation necessary to deliver botulinum toxin and dermal filler for the lips

  3. Integrate botulinum toxin therapy and dermal filler for the lips into your practice

Botox & Dermal Filler
Advanced Training

This course is for the advanced provider that has mastered the anatomy of the face and is comfortable with Botox in areas of the upper face, that is now ready to learn techniques for the low face, such as correcting a gummy smile, lip flip, a downward turned smile, TMJ relief, and platysmal band treatments. The course will also cover advanced dermal filler techniques for cheek volume restoration, temple volume restoration, jawline and chin augmentation. This is a 1-Day extended course (8-10 hours) , specifically formatted for Nurses, NPs, PAs and Dentists. Tox with T trainings provides you with the most comprehensive didactic and hands-on training in the market. The course is designed with healthcare professionals in mind. Dr. T is also available to travel to your office/clinic to train with several injectors there.


Tox with T Training provides didactic and practical Botox and Dermal Filler training designed to be easily applied in a new or existing practice. Participants will receive course powerpoints/manuals, consent and treatment forms, and a list of valuable resources as part of the training. Participants will also receive a Certificate of Training after finishing the course’s educational and hands-on requirements. 

The Advanced Botox and Dermal Filler Training educates medical professionals on facial anatomy and providing hands-on experience with Botox and dermal fillers advanced techniques. Taught by Dr. Theresa Johnson, the Botox and Dermal Filler Advanced Training course will leave you feeling confident and excited to start performing these new skills at your practice. (It will also likely increase your revenue!)

 

Prior Training
Prior to taking the Advanced Botox and Dermal Filler Training, the following prerequisites must be met:
•    Completion of an introductory Basic Botox and Dermal Filler certification class (at any training facility)

Aesthetic Training 
The neuromodulator products that will be used in the hands-on portion of the course and taught in the didactic portion of the Advanced Botox and Dermal Filler Training includes Botox, Xeomin, Jueveau, and/or Dysport. 
The aesthetic dermal filler products used during the hands-on session of the Dermal Filler Training will include Juvederm products, Restylane products, and/or Revanesse Versa products. Dermal filler products discussed in the didactic session of the Dermal Filler Training include Juvederm products, Restylane products, Radiesse, and Sculptra. 

Course Objectives
•    Review facial anatomy and understand factors of full-facial anatomy and balancing
•    To understand the following techniques and treatments utilizing Botox: TMJ/massetter, lip flip, gummy smile correction, perioral rhytides, downward turned smile (lipstick lines, sunbeam or smokers wrinkles), injections around and under the eyes, relaxation of the upper lip and chin, axillary hyperhidrosis, and neck rejuvenation.
•    Review types and uses of dermal fillers
•    To understand the following techniques and treatment utilizing dermal fillers: cheek volume restoration, temple volume restoration, jawline and chin augmentation
•    Review cannula injection technique
•    To understand the different fillers on the market including longer lasting fillers, non-biodegradable fillers and body area fillers
